What I've Learned About Going For It

I spent last weekend with some really good girlfriends. We haven't all been together in awhile so we decided to go to the year wine fest here in Charlotte.

With everything that's been happening in Charlotte the last few weeks it felt really good to be back out and about the city which had been on lock down with a curfew.

I'll be the first to tell you that I'm really lucky when it comes to the women I've surrounded myself with. This is true for not only my business but also my personal life. Believe it or not there is not one single ounce of drama in either of them. If we're being honest with each other that alone is a blessing!

One of my newest friends, Marta, recently became a US Citizen (she's originally from Poland). We were celebrating this new chapter in her life. I asked her how it felt and she said "it's sort of amazing isn't it? I came here with nothing and nobody and now I've built this life here that I don't think I could ever go back and as far as I'm concerned I am American."

Can you imagine leaving everything you know to set out for a new life and new experience?! I've actually known a few women who have done this and have found exactly the place and calling they were meant to have. My own business coach is one of them! She moved to London with nothing but her suitcases, the rest fell into place.

I might not have picked up and moved someplace new but I certainly went out on the limb as far as my business is concerned and that's pretty much the same thing.

I very well could have stayed where I was in the comfort of my companies little bubble but the pull on my heart to do something bigger kept calling me. I didn't know what that was but I knew if I followed then the rest would also simply fall into place.

I was told once that "the how is not your concern" by a very successful female entrepreneur. At first I couldn't believe it! How would I ever get to where I wanted to be in life if I didn't now how or what I was doing (I'm the type of person that likes to have everything planned out).

What she meant was that I didn't need to have all the details in place. I just needed to act on behalf of my dreams and start putting that and myself out into the world and everything else would come to me.

With a nervousness I never felt before and excitement for my future I leaped into starting DYL not even knowing who I was supposed to serve or work with. I had no idea how I was even going to get something like this off the ground but it didn't matter because my vision and what I was called to do in this world was a lot bigger than any of the fear I felt.

When you know you know, right?!

Boy did it ever come to me! Soon I found myself landing clients and  connected with business women all over the world. I had two of the most high level coaches at my finger tips and I was actually making my dream happen and shockingly it happened very quickly.

And if you just know that you are supposed to be doing something BIG in this life then simply go for it. You are meant to be living the life of your dreams and you are meant to be doing something you feel passion for.
